Your Zodiac Sign May Not Be What You Think!

Updated: Jun 28, 2024

Learn your TRUE Sun Sign according to the Astronomically Correct Vedic Zodiac.

As a serious Vedic Astrologer, I sometimes get tired of explaining to my well-meaning friends (who follow Western Astrology) that the Western Zodiac signs no longer align with each month, as they did thousands of years ago. It is hard for me to respond to the enthusiastic astrology posts that they share with me, beyond a polite smile and a "thank you," as I inwardly shake my head – Because I know that the actual planetary energy happening at the moment is no longer in alignment with the calendar months.

And I get it… Western astrology information is blasted all over the internet.  And it is a system that absolutely works, when receiving a full reading from a skilled Western Astrologer who interprets the energy of the planets based on a fixed system of relativity to one another.

But when it is March 29, for example, and Western Astrology claims that the Sun is in Aries, because according to the calendar every year the Sun shines its light in the constellation of Aries from March 21 to April 21... I can’t pretend to be excited about the fiery Mars energy of “Aries” when the ACTUAL position of the Sun is really still in the watery sign of Pisces. There is a huge difference between the “Ram”-bunctious energy of Aries and the dreamy energy of Pisces!

But since our Western modern culture finds it easier to understand the Zodiac Signs according to the calendar months, I decided to print the months with corresponding zodiac signs, based on the actual placements of the planets in 2022.

  1. Aries: April 14 to May 14

  2. Taurus:  May 15 to June 14

  3. Gemini: June 15 to July 15

  4. Cancer: July 16 to August 16

  5. Leo: August 17 to September 16

  6. Virgo: September 17 to October 16

  7. Libra: October 17 to November 15

  8. Scorpio: November 16 to December 15

  9. Sagittarius: December 16 to January 13

  10. Capricorn: January 14 to February 12

  11. Aquarius: February 13 to March 13

  12. Pisces: March 14 to April 13

Please note – the dates can vary slightly from year to year, due to the complexities of astronomical calculations involved in determining the exact positions of the planets. It's always best to consult a professional Vedic astrologer for accurate and personalized information regarding your zodiac sign and birth chart.
